IGT's flagship slot machine and probably the most popular land-based
slot of all time to date (although one could argue that Pharaohs Fortune, also
by IGT, is equally prolofic in land-based casinos). The Cleopatra slot game was
(according to Aristocrat!) inspired by Aristocrat's Queen Of The Nile game but
actually surpassed it in popularity in many jurisdictions, most notably the USA.
It has spurned the follow-up Cleopatra 2 game which personally I now prefer,
although it is more volatile than the original.
I mostly play Cleopatra online if I'm going to play it all these days because the RTP is better (95.01%) whereas the sit-down versions in UK casinos have crappier payouts. You can tell immediately by the fact they don't pay out on things like two 9's or, in the game King version, even on 2 scatters! When I'm playing in B&M I'll play Novomatic slots like Book Of Ra or Dolphins Pearl Deluxe which are a lot more volatile but have better long-terp RTPs IMO.
